Qualifications : To qualify for this position, applicants must have / do one of the following :

• A minimum of an associates degree
• A minimum of 48 documented college course units
• Computer literacy required
• A desire and ability to work positively with students, parents, and teachers
• The ability to follow directions and carry them out independently
• A willingness to participate in professional development to master skills necessary for classroom support
• Ability to take initiative and assist in meeting teacher / student needs

Job Description :

• Attend meetings and special functions as requested by the principal or supervising teachers
• May be asked to attend IEP, SST, or 504 meetings as needed
• Use discretion regarding confidential school matters
• Flexibility and willingness to work with students and teachers at any grade level
• Assume responsibility with all staff in addressing discipline concerns in accordance with school and District policy
• Willingness to learn computer software to assist in classroom and grade level data management
